Many of you have been asking when we would bring a Rocket Teacher Training back to Puerto Rico, and I’m excited to finally say that this December, we’re coming home.
For decades, my beloved island has been a place where Rocket has found community, energy, and space to continue evolving.
Now, we want you to come experience it with us.
It will be two weekends of practice, learning, teaching, and the best vibes at Ashtanga Yoga Puerto Rico, the official home of Rocket Yoga Academy.
During the week, we’ll have additional classes to help you integrate what you’re learning—and plenty of time to enjoy the island if you’re traveling in.

The Details
Dates: Diciembre 4-13
Location: Ashtanga Yoga Puerto Rico
Language: English & Spanish
Certification: 50 hours applicable toward Rocket Vinyasa Certification, the 300H Progressive Ashtanga Advanced Program, and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education (YACEP)

THE TRAINING
A two-weekend intensive designed to take you beyond practicing Rocket® and into the experience of teaching it.
While practice remains an important part of the experience, teaching is at the heart of this training. Most of our time together will be spent in hands-on teaching labs, where you’ll practice, receive direct feedback, and develop the skills to confidently lead Rocket® classes.
In between weekends, you’ll have a full week to integrate what you’re learning through dedicated Rocket® classes, connect with the community, and, if you’re traveling to Puerto Rico, enjoy some time to explore the island (If you are a local, well a great excuse pa’ dar una weltita )
Along the way, we’ll explore the system, methodology, culture, and philosophy of Rocket® with plenty of space to practice, ask questions, play, and grow as a teacher.

A Specialized 50-HOUR ROCKET® VINYASA TEACHER TRAINING & OFICIAL CERTIFICATION
A complete 50-hour training focused on the practice, methodology, philosophy, and hands-on teaching of Rocket® Vinyasa. 50-hour certification is granted upon successful completion of the program and applicable requirements. Applicable to Rocket Teachers Certification, Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa 300Hr and Yoga Alliance Continuing Ed.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY & HANDS-ON PRACTICUM

WHAT IS ROCKET® YOGA?
Rocket® Yoga is a vinyasa-based sequencing system developed by Larry Schultz as a creative reinterpretation of Ashtanga Yoga, adapted to the needs of the modern body.
The sequences are practiced with a spirit of play and creativity, designed to uplift the practitioner and inspire freedom of expression, both on and off the mat.
Rocket 1 is based on the Ashtanga Primary Series.
Rocket 2 combines postures and variations from the Second, Third, and Fourth Series, reorganized to be accessible and energizing for all levels.
Rocket 3 is a blend of both, offering a complete and dynamic challenge.
With its motto “It gets you there faster” and its rock-and-roll attitude, Rocket intentionally breaks the rules, bringing joy, challenge, and rhythm to the practice.
